Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton was born on the 19th January, 1946 on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She grew up with twelve other kids. Her imaginative mind was a great way to get away from the pressures of daily life. Her songs were written before she could read or write. Within 8 years she was playing her first guitar. In the age of 11 when she was 11, she began singing at the Knoxville Tennessee radio station. In the same year, she released her first album with Gold Band Records an independent small-scale label. She made a name on the local circuit while at high school, but always dreamed of having a bigger stage. On the 14th of March, 1964, that followed her graduation from high school her family moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were her two first charting albums for Monument Records. Porter Wagoner's syndicated TV show needed a new singer at around this point. Parton began her career in the year 1967 and signed by RCA Records by 1968, and was a part of the Grand Ole Opry. It was not until 1974 when she made the decision to quit Wagoner's show because the success of her solo albums like Joshua Coat, Many Colors and Jolene was outstripping their joint efforts. Parton's hit song, I'll Never Be Loved by You (for Wagoner), reached the number. 1 spot after they separated. The first time it made it to number 1 was in 1974.
