Taylor
Taylor Swift was a rarity in the world of pop music: she was the only celebrity to have transitioned from the traditional to the mainstream and become an international icon of pop culture. Swift left her country roots like they were a second skin to reveal that she was perhaps the savviest populist singer/songwriter of her generation one who could harness the zeitgeist make it personal and also perform opposite. Her talents could be seen in the first songs she released, most notably the Neodue Tim McGraw. But on her sophomore album Fearless that came out in 2008, she was able to discover her true identity and gain a wide audience. Fearless became a massive success not only in the United States and six of the singles have been certified platinum in the wake of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and You Belong with Me. But it also smashed records across all over the world. Swift soared to the top of stardom when she released Speak Now. The next three years, her fame increased through the years -three times - Red (2012), Reputation (2014) in addition to 1989 (2014-2015) during which time she moved into a realm of pop with her skills already well-established. While she reduced her work with folklore and Evermore releases in 2020 she was still leading the way in pop music.
