Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born on the 16th of April 1997 in Miami Florida. She is half English the other half Spanish. The parents of her include Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. She is an Argentinean with Scottish, English and Argentinean descent. Her mother is Spanish and English heritage. Taylor-Joy is one of the five children. Four of them are from Taylor's father's prior marriage. Family was in Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy reached the age of six, after which they moved to the Victoria district in London. Taylor Joy stated that moving from Buenos Aires, to Victoria was difficult and she was not able to take the time to learn English in hopes of going back to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school when she switched from Northlands. After that, she went to Queen's Gate School in London, where she took ballet classes and took part in drama productions. She dropped out of the high school aged 16 to pursue an acting profession. Taylor-Joy was always aware of her desire to become an actor. She was given a chance to try it by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management and was offered the opportunity to model.
